what we do?
Repurposed Classics source a suitable vehicle, strip it and restore it to its former glory.
We work closely with the market leading firm Retroelectric Cars https://www.retroelectrics.co.uk who deliver clever High Voltage stuff in order to convert to electric power.
Repurposed Classics then run the car, test it in all conditions, make all the necessary adjustments and apply the finishing touches before being offered for sale to the general public - unlike most we drive and use the cars ourselves to iron out any niggles before we put them up for sale.
Each vehicle is supplied with a new V5C from the DVLA clearly stating their acceptance of the vehicle as an electric one. Each vehicle also has a current MOT certificate to demonstrate its roadworthiness even though as a historic vehicle there is no requirement to have a valid MOT.
These cars incorporate Tesla battery technology and therefore a proven track record. The batteries are easily capable of clocking up over 100,000 miles so with massively reduced moving parts over a combustion engine all you may be doing is occasionally topping up coolant. Replacement of other usual consumables such as tyres and brakes will be as normal.
All cars are fitted with a DAB retro radio which allows Bluetooth connectivity and the ability to extend the sound system
